How can I book a security guard test in Alberta?

To book a security guard test in Alberta, you must complete the ABST (Alberta Basic Security Training) Course. Here are the steps:
- Complete all 7 Sections of the ABST course successfully
- Complete the Consent Form which contains the personal information required by the proctor including your full name, date of birth and mailing address
- Select the date and time you wish to write the test from the available slots
Exams must be administered by an external proctor and can only be booked once you complete the ABST course. You must get a mark of at least 80% to pass the exam. Once you successfully complete the exam, you will receive your certificate in the mail within a week. Your first exam attempt is included at no additional cost if you enroll with us. The test is completed online.
Tests can be completed both in-person and online. You can complete the exam online if you enroll in our course. You can write the test from home and will be monitored live through your webcam.
